Join MLA attorney Mike Yang, UMBC Curator Tom Beck, and photographer Jefferson Steele for a wide-ranging discussion on the art and business of photography. Learn how to protect your work through contract and copyright. Get a working photographer’s perspective on the business of photography and a curator’s perspective on the art of photography, including the recent controversy over renowned photojournalist A. Audrey Bodine not being included in the BMA’s exhibition “Looking Through the Lens.”

I attended the lecture and found it very interested!! Apparently the group who sponsored the effect , Maryland Lawyers for the Arts, has on going events of interest to photographers.
There will be an upcoming FREE Legal Clinic on November 15 for photographers and other artists and will give FREE advice etc for such things as contracts or other legal matters. Check out their website at http://www.mdartslaw.org for more information.
