My passion is to promote and enable exploration of two relatively unexplored frontiers: the universe beyond Earth’s atmosphere and the Earth’s underwater regions. Professionally, I have had the good fortune to be an aerospace engineer with NASA for over 30 years. I have designed and built numerous earth and space-observing spacecraft including the Hubble Space Telescope. Thirty years ago, I became a certified SCUBA diver with a few of my colleagues. We were training Shuttle flight crews in NASA Neutral Buoyancy Laboratories. Over the years, my time in the NASA tanks gave way to other duties, so I took to the open water. Eventually, I began photo-documenting our dives and, over the years, assembled a substantial collection of photographs of the underwater world.
