Charles Village Festival

Enjoy live music, kids' games, a garden walk and plenty of food and drink at the annual Charles Village Festival this weekend. The event, taking place on North Charles and West 29th streets, kicks off at 11 a.m. Saturday and runs until 9 p.m. that evening. Sunday's activities run 11 a.m.-6 p.m. The garden walk will only take place on Sunday. Note that there is no race or parade this year. Free admission to the festival. Hopkins kids and the rest of the Charles Village crowd celebrate their neighborhood and urban living. This year, the festival includes two stages of music featuring such acts as The Swingin' Swamis and 3 Fifths. Available snacks include crab cakes, deep-friend candy bars and samosas.

There will also be a garden walk on Sunday.
